Last month, the Benton Museum of Art at Pomona College announced it would be nearly double its public operating hours, from 20 hours per week to 34 hours.

The new hours will include Thursday nights until 10 p.m.

The museum will also move toward a year-round calendar structure instead of a semester-based schedule by remaining open approximately 45 weeks a year. Previously it had operated 30 weeks a year.

Finally, the Benton will discontinue the reservation requirements put in place in 2021 in response to COVID-19.

The Benton Museum of Art’s new hours of operation are as follows: Wednesday through Sunday, noon to 6 p.m., with extended hours until 10 p.m. every Thursday. The museum will remain closed to the public on Monday and Tuesday.
