Claremont Film Festival focuses on artist documentaries

The free and open to the public Claremont Film Festival will screen three short documentaries highlighting local artists Mike Hill, Ellen Harper, and James Linahon at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, at the George C.S. Benson Auditorium, 1050 N. Mills Ave., Claremont.

The films, part of the Artists on Film Project, are “Space Sunset,” which focuses on sculptor Hill’s 26-by-13-foot-stained glass installation at the Ontario Airport, “Always A Song,” which follows Harper, a songwriter and musician and Folk Music Center owner, through the music world and life in Claremont, and “Music is the Language of the Soul,” with Linahon, which explores his work with iconic musicians such as Frank Sinatra.
