Grand National Roadster Show at Fairplex this weekend

The 73rd Grand National Roadster Show returns this weekend to the Pomona Fairplex, 1101 W McKinley Ave. The show runs Friday from noon to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, February 5 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

More than 500 vehicles will occupy the fairground’s expo halls and compete for awards like America’s most beautiful roadster. An additional 400 to 800 vehicles will be shown at the 17th annual “granddaddy drive-in” adjacent to the halls.

A pinstriper charity fundraiser is new this year, with pinstripers onsite to stripe items for a nominal cost, with funds donated to Haynes Family of Programs, a La Verne nonprofit that provides treatment and educational services to children with special needs.

Admission for those 13 and up is $30. It’s $10 for children 6 to 12, and kids 5 and under are free. Parking is $17 at Gate 9 off White Avenue and can be pre-purchased at etix.com. There is no tram service at the parking lots.
