Injury collision closes Arrow and College

Claremont Police direct traffic while a tow truck crew clean the roadway following a traffic collision Thursday morning which closed the intersection of Arrow Highway and College Avenue. Three people were injured and transported to area hospitals. Police at the scene said there were conflicting accounts of what happened, however a full size pickup truck and a Hyundai sedan collided in the intersection resulting in the truck dislodging a traffic signal pole. Southern California Edison also responded to repair damage to electrical lines and a crew was called to fix the signal. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
