Kiwanis seek donations for local family’s holiday

The Claremont Kiwanis Club is seeking donations of toys, clothing, wish list items or money for a single mother of five children who are the beneficiaries of its annual adopt a family event. The club is partnering with Inland Valley Hope Partners for the program.

To fulfill an item on the wish list, visit claremontkiwanis.org and click on “Adopt-a-Family,” then, “to select items to purchase, click here.” Donors will then be directed to an Excel spreadsheet. Click “edit” at the top to fill in your name by the item or items purchased.

All gifts must be turned in by Friday, December 16. Gifts can be dropped off at the club’s See’s Candies store, 191 S. Indian Hill Blvd., Claremont, which is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Each donation should have a tag. For a quick cutout label or more information about this year’s adopt-a-family program visit claremontkiwanis.org.

To donate monetarily, checks can made payable to the Claremont Kiwanis Foundation with “adopt-a-family” in the memo line. Cash donations are also welcome, and online donations can be made at claremontkiwanis.org/page/36352.
