Local march to support LGBTQ+ rights is Friday

The public is invited to march alongside LGBTQ+ youth Friday, March 31 at the Pomona Pride Center, 386 S. Thomas St., in observance of the free march for queer and trans youth autonomy, a national protest organized by Queer Youth Assemble.

Pre-march events begin at 4 p.m. outside the center with sign making, pledge signing, and an educational session on how to connect with public officials. Attendees will gather at 5:30 p.m. to march from the center to Pomona City Hall, 505 S. Garey Ave., where a public rally and candlelight vigil remembering LGBTQ+ community members will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.
