Mountain View students honored for saving a life

The group that revived the hummingbird and saved its life were all given a special thanks on stage at the annual 4th-6th grade award ceremony

Mountain View Elementary School’s Ava Coronado, right to left, Espn Kinny, Maliyah Mccutcheon, Shyanne Mccutcheon, Sophia Citron, and teacher Alica Sanchez, were honored June 14th at the award ceremony for rescuing a hummingbird that became exhausted after being trapped inside a building. The COURIER was on hand as the students received a certificate for their efforts, as well as the Pomona Valley Audubon Society giving them with a quick guide to hummingbirds of North America.
