“35000 WATTS charts the wild journey of visionaries and rebels on college campuses across America who changed the course of music history and made an indelible imprint on our culture,” read a Pomona College press release. “This is the untold story of college radio brought to life by the students behind the mic and the bands they made famous. It’s the story of the youth and music culture that originated, and later flourished, on the airwaves of American colleges and universities, establishing a new generational voice and a new path to success for many alumni and artists.”

Following the screening, a panel of guests from KSPC and the film will talk about college radio history from its beginnings to the present day. Guest will include Pomona College alum and KSPC DJ Bill Chen; Jennifer Waits, college radio historian and KSPC alumni DJ; singer, songwriter, writer, podcaster, and leader in the riot grrrl movement Allison Wolfe; and Erica Tyron, director of student media at KSPC for more than 30 years. The panel will be moderated by KSPC DJs/directors, Elle Roc and Vera Caldwell.
