Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center was recently named to the Cal Hospital Compare’s 2023 opioid care honor roll program.

The state honor recognizes hospitals for providing treatment for patients with opioid use disorder, access to naloxone (“Narcan”) to prevent opioid overdose related deaths, and reducing barriers to care by addressing stigma, according to a news release.

The hospital was among 42 acknowledged for implementing advanced opioid stewardship strategies that actively measure and monitor performance for the purpose of continued quality improvement, the release read.
