Senior driver’s education classes start March 22

The American Association of Retired Persons hosts a two-day smart driver’s course at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 22 at Alexander Hughes Community Center, 1700 Danbury Rd., Claremont. Class continues at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 23.

The course is meant for motorists ages 50 and older who want to improve their driving. A certificate from the Department of Motor Vehicles will be issued at the conclusion of each five-hour course which grants participants a discount on their automobile insurance.

A materials fee of $25 ($20 for AARP members) is required.
