Claremont Unified School District Board of Education President and Trustee Area 4 candidate Steven Llanusa hosted an election night party at his Claremont home.

Seen here at the party talking with fellow board member Nancy Treser Osgood, Llanusa’s lead over opponent Aaron Peterson shrunk overnight, from 150 votes to just 71, making that race too close to call. As of 3:35 a.m. Llanusa was up 1,060 to 989. Results are updated at results.lavote.gov, type “schools” in the contest search bar and scroll down to the CUSD race.

It appears Brian Bowcock’s 19-year run as the Division III Board Member for Three Valleys Municipal Water District will end, as challenger and political newcomer Jeff Hanlon, who had been leading by 2,011 votes last night, increased his margin by 287 votes overnight. Hanlon was leading 6,981 to 4,683 as of 3:35 a.m. Results are updated at results.lavote.gov, type “water districts” in the contest search bar and scroll down to the Three Valleys race.

Update: as of 3:35 a.m. today, in the three races for Claremont City Council, Council member Jennifer Stark had an all but insurmountable lead over her District 3 challenger, Maura Carter, 877 votes to 301. In District 4, Mayor Jed Leano’s lead shrunk overnight, but the margin over challenger Aundré Johnson — 956 to 744 — still all but assures his reelection. Mayor Pro tem Ed Reece made some gains overnight, widening the gap between him and Peter Yao, 729 to 606. Results are updated at results.lavote.gov, type “Claremont” in the contest search bar and scroll down to the City Council race.
