Survivors of Suicide Loss meeting in person in new location

Last week, the city announced online that the Survivors of Suicide Loss support group would be resuming in-person meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of each month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. starting Monday, April 25.

The group will meet at its new location, the Alexander Hughes Community Center, 1700 Danbury Road. The support group previously met at the Joslyn Center.

“This peer support group is designed for those who have experienced a loss due to suicide and need grief support,” the city wrote online. The group is “facilitated by trained, certified bereavement volunteers through VNA Hospice & Palliative Care of SoCal.”

For more information about the support group, contact the Alexander Hughes Community Center at (909) 399-5490 or visit ci.claremont.ca.us/Home/Components/News/News/3330/18.
