Claremont ready to take action on two significant water issues
The water talk continues on Tuesday, March 25 with the Claremont City Council slated to take action on two significant issues surrounding the city’s potential water system acquisition. At 6:30 p.m. at Taylor Hall, 1775 N. Indian Hill Blvd., council members will discuss an environmental report evaluating the proposed water system acquisition.
The council will also take a vote to begin eminent domain proceedings for the attainment of the city’s water system. With a majority vote, the city would adopt resolution of necessity, setting into motion a six-month deadline to file an eminent domain lawsuit. Public comment is invited on both topics. Take a look at the environmental study or full council agenda on the city’s website, www.ci.claremont.ca.us.
