Council workshop postponed until Saturday, December 3

The Claremont City Council workshop has been rescheduled for Saturday, December 3 at 9 a.m. due to the death of Mayor Sam Pedroza’s father. Our condolences go out to the Pedroza family at this difficult time. —KD

Residents have an opportunity to assist city council in determining priority projects for 2012 this Saturday, November 19, at a workshop beginning at 9 a.m. at city hall. City council will meet to discuss the finer points of what will become a future work plan for city staff.

The purpose of the workshop is to review actions taken this year and assist council in setting goals, priorities and policies for next year.

The agenda, which is available at www.ci.claremont.ca.us, includes topics such as CalPERS, water rates, the Wilderness Park, police staffing, sanitation, public art and the creation of a railroad quiet zone.
