Claremont beer walk features music, suds, tasty grub

Claremont’s 5th annual craft beer walk, Claremont Village Blues & Brews, will be held on Saturday, June 28 from 4 to 8 p.m.

Guests will enjoy craft beer tastings and food samplings at more than 40 Village businesses and rock out to live music performed at numerous venues. Tickets are $45 per person if purchased in advance, $50 the day of the event. Advance purchase is encouraged as this event may sell out. Ticket-holders will receive a map of participating businesses, beer pilsner, 18 beer pour tasting tickets and a wristband at check-in.

Designated Driver tickets are also available for $20 per person in advance, $25 on the day of the event. Designated Driver ticket-holders will get a map of participating businesses and a wristband and can partake in food an non-alcoholic beverages at all sites throughout the event.

New this year is a Backlot Party to be held at Petisco’s restaurant on the northwest corner of First Street and Harvard Avenue from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Guests will enjoy Caja China roasted pork tacos and a selection of rare German beers. Brew master Jay Baum will discuss his style of brewing. At $75, tickets include the Backlot Party and the entire Craft Beer Walk event.

Claremont Craft Ales, Dale Bros Brewery, Chino Valley Brewery, Eureka! Claremont, Hamilton Family Brewery, Packinghouse Brewing company and La Verne Brewing Co are a just a few of the companies supplying craft beers for the beer walk. Food will be provided from a wide array of Claremont restaurants, from Bardot to zpizza.

A wide variety of performers are on tap for the evening, including Claremont Voodoo Society, Hank’s Cadillac, High Strung Band, Homero Chavez Una Noche, LA Blues Casters, Little Faith Band, Melvin Eddy Blues Band, Mercy Brothers, Remember Then, Ron Ely, Sligo Rags, Stan West Band, Swing 4 Sale, The Blues Ravelers and Timothy Rotolo.
