Police search for Claremont Chase Bank armed robbery suspect

Claremont police officers responded to an armed robbery that had just occurred on Friday, December 26 at approximately 6 p.m. at Chase Bank, 805 W. Foothill Blvd. in Claremont.

The male suspect entered the bank, met with an employee then displayed a handgun and demanded money. The employee gave the suspect cash and the suspect fled the bank out the west doors. He was last seen walking away, with a noticeable limp, westbound on Foothill Boulevard. No vehicle was seen.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 45 to 50 years old, standing five-foot-10- or 11-inches tall, weighing 200 pounds with brown shoulder-length hair with sideburns, a dark bushy goatee. He is further described as wearing glasses, a white baseball cap with the word “soccer” on the front of the hat, a dark blue Dickies-style jacket, white-collared shirt, black tie, blue “Dickies” pants, and a black “Mueller” knee brace worn on the outside of his left pant leg. The suspect was also carrying a black or grey corduroy Jansport bag during the time of the robbery.
