Acclaimed musical ensemble and Irish dancers perform

The Candlelight Pavilion Dinner Theatre in Claremont will host three concerts featuring guitarist Michael Ryan and an ensemble of musicians, singers and Irish dancers.

Shows will take place Friday, January 2, Saturday, January 3 and Sunday, January 4. Tickets are $25.

This fun-filled show includes Irish cultural dance and music from Celtic music to the contemporary and lively Irish pub songs.

Mr. Ryan of Claremont is an internationally-acclaimed guitarist and composer and has six CDs to his credit. His compositions are influenced by classical, Irish and Latin musical traditions. Mr. Ryan is a departmental associate for the University of La Verne music department, where he teaches private guitar, class guitar, guitar ensemble and songwriting.  

Sharing the stage with Mr. Ryan will be Hai Muradian, flute and vocals; Ken Soderlund, mandolin, guitar and vocals; Julian Johnson, bass; Martie Echito, vocals and keyboards; Romy Stegen, vocals; Danny Oberbeck, vocals and guitar; and Dylan Oberbeck, mandolin and guitar.

Dancing will be provided by award-winning Irish dancers including Julia Straszewski (ranked eighth in the West Coast regionals) and Tasha Straszewski, who is ranked 23rd in the world. Special guest dancer will be Maeve Croke, who is a dance captain from “Riverdance.”

Doors open at 6:45 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, curtain is at 7:30 p.m. The show on Sunday starts at 2:30 p.m.
