Craft beer festival to benefit Claremont Educational Foundation

Dale Bros. Brewery will celebrate its 12th anniversary Saturday, January 24 with the “Brews and Bros Craft Beer Festival” from 1 to 5 p.m. at Cable Airport in Upland. Proceeds from the event will go to the Claremont Educational Foundation (CEF), which supports the Claremont Unified School District throughout the year by raising funds for  enhanced educational opportunities for students.

The event will feature more than 30 microbreweries, three wineries and a cider-maker, along with live music provided by two bands—Hellbound and GrooveSession—and a vintage and custom motorcycle show. Food from local gourmet vendors and food trucks will also be on site. This family-friendly event will also include kids games and craft sodas.

General admission tickets are $45 per person and VIP admission is $60 per person. VIP admission includes early admission at noon, a keepsake glass, a photo from the on-site photo booth, preferred parking and “meet the brewer” access.  Children 12 and under are free, while those under 21 or a designated driver enter at a reduced rate of $10. Ticket prices go up at the door on the day of the event.  Advance tickets are available online at www.brewsandbrosfest.com or at Dale Bros Brewery, 2120 Porterfield Way, Upland.

Last year, CEF supported Claremont schools by gifting nearly $200,000 raised solely through efforts in the community with partners like the Dale Bros. CEF Board President, Richard Chute noted “CEF is very excited by the opportunity to partner with Dale Bros. Brewery. The Dale brothers, Curt and Andy, and their staff are committed to the community, and often host fundraisers supporting local non-profits at the brewery; it’s just how they do business. They do well by doing good. We are truly fortunate to work with them on their biggest event of the year.”

The event is also sponsored by Claremont Doubletree by Hilton, Eureka, Cable Airport, Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, Ontario Reign, RV Spa and Southland Data Processing.

While primarily benefitting CEF, the event will also feature a fun and friendly “Brew Crew Tipping Competition” that will raise money for other local nonprofit organizations. Representatives from local nonprofits will be pouring beer for the craft breweries to garner tips for their favorite local charity. The Brew Crew pourer with the largest number of tips will get bragging rights on stage at the end of the afternoon, and all tips will then be donated to CEF or to the chosen charities. Come out to see who is pouring and reward them and their chosen charity with your tips.
