Council tackles trees, priorities in two upcoming workshops

Claremont city staff will present a tree policy workshop to the city council on Tuesday, January 27 at 5 p.m. in the council chamber. Key elements of the policy will be presented as well as information regarding tree removal and replacement procedures, maintenance schedules, and how the policy affects the condition of our urban forest. The presentation will be followed by the regular city council meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m.

The annual city council priorities workshop will be held on Saturday, February 7 at 8 a.m., also in the council chamber. During the workshop, the Claremont City Council will review progress made on the council’s 2014 priorities and outline priorities for 2015.

Both meetings are open to the public and will be held in council chamber, 225 Second St., in the old fire station at city hall.
