The developer of the Village Lofts, a four-story mixed-use project at the old Rich’s Food site on Oberlin Avenue, will begin demolition on June 1. The demolition work is expected to last up to three months, according the city manager’s report, with construction of the project beginning as soon as demolition is completed.

According to the city manager, the estimated schedule for the demolition activities is as follows:

May 27:  Perimeter construction fencing installed

June 1: Start of demolition

August 15:  End of demolition, construction begins
