Music festival to strike a chord with music lovers

The 32nd annual Claremont Folk Festival is coming up on Saturday, May 30 at the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden. The bill includes performers such as the David Grisman Bluegrass Experience, “Blind Boy” Paxton, Dustbowl Revival and Tom Freund. 

Guests will also have the opportunity to take part in music workshops and family-friendly activities and stroll through the Garden, including its annual Butterfly Pavilion. Gourmet food trucks and treats like ice cream by Bert & Rocky’s Creamery will be on hand and Claremont Craft Ales, Dale Bros. Brewery and Plume Ridge Bottle Shop will serve up spirits. Vendors will sell arts, crafts and musical gifts.

The festival gates open at 10 a.m. Admission is $35, free for kids 12 and younger. Tickets can be purchased online at claremontfolkfestival.org or in person (cash only) at the Folk Music Center, 220 Yale Ave. in Claremont.
