The lunar eclipse Sunday night was a popular distraction throughout Claremont even if at first it seemed like clouds were going to spoil the fun. As the moon rose, it was only barely visible through the haze that lingered on the horizon. But by the time it reached full eclipse just before 8 p.m., it was clear and bright.
