Boys, Girls soccer win first round CIF matches
Claremont High School sophomore Julian Bravo celebrates after he scored the winning goal on Friday in the first round of the CIF tournament in Claremont. The Wolfpack and visiting Pioneer Valley High School Panthers played to a scoreless tie after regulation and Bravo’s goal came in the first sudden death overtime period.
On Thursday the girls soccer team also won their first round game 3-1 over Pacifica at CHS. The Pack played very will under tough competition that was marred by excessive yellow cards and one red card, that forced Claremont to play short handed for the final 30 minutes of the match.
