Sun, clouds and no rain

Although Claremont could always get hit with a late season winter storm, chances are it’s a good time to start transitioning into the Spring season. Although El Nino was pretty much a dud in Southern California, the northern part of the state is blanketed by a deep snow cover in the Sierra Nevada. This will impact, but not eliminate our drought. The local weather will remain warm for this time of year with high temperatures well into the 70s, and lows around 50. No rain is in the forecast, but we will get a mix of sun, clouds and wind for the remainder of the week. The air will be clear as seen with this telephoto lens photo of downtown Los Angeles from Claremont. COURIER photo/Peter Weinberger
