City removes giant elms on Indian Hill

Workers with West Coast Arborist cut down one of the statuesque Dutch elm trees Thursday on Indian Hill Boulevard in Claremont. The trees, which form a canopy over Indian Hill, were apparently determined to be too damaged by the drought and old age to be saved. COURIER photo/Steven Felschundneff
