Claremont businesses hit by smash and grab burglars

On Tuesday, March 29 at approximately 1:57 a.m., Claremont PD responded to Baskin Robbins at 602 E Baseline Rd, in regard to an alarm activation.  Upon the officers’ arrival, it was determined that an unknown suspect smashed the front door and gained entry into the business.  The officers found that the suspect also smashed the front door to Round Table Pizza, 598 E Baseline Rd.  Once inside the businesses, the suspect removed cash from the registers and fled the location undetected.

Later that morning, an employee from The Spot Café, 435 W Foothill Blvd, called the police department to report that someone had smashed the front door and attempted to steal money from the register.  At 8:48 a.m., an employee from 21 Choices, 817 W Foothill Blvd, called to report that someone smashed the front door and stole the cash register drawer.

It is advised that businesses remove cash from the register drawers and leave the drawers open and visible.  Please remember to activate the alarm when the business is closed.
