Summer program aims to collect back-to-school supplies

Children’s Foundation of America has partnered with Claremont businesses for its annual back-to-school supply drive supporting foster children in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties. The goal is to supply 150 children with complete back-to-school kits. Items needed include backpacks, pencil pouches, lunch boxes, pens, pencils, erasers, pencil sharpeners, crayons, markers, colored pencils, construction paper, three-ring binders, lined paper, notebooks, folders and rulers.

All items collected will directly support children who have been placed into foster care due to abuse, neglect or abandonment. Donations may be delivered to any one of the following locations through August 31: Vom Fass, Podge’s, A Shop Called Quest, Starbucks, Amelie, Deelux, Middle-Tree Academy, Wolfe’s Market or the Children’s Foundation of America office at 175 N. Indian Hill Blvd., Suite B 200.
