Search for missing Claremont woman continues

The search for missing Claremont resident Rebecca “Becky” Faulstich in the hills near Padua Hills Theatre continues today. The effort includes members of the Los Angeles County Search and Rescue, San Bernardino County Search and Rescue, CERT, Claremont PD and rescue dogs from Los Angeles County Fire.

Police and volunteers have been searching the canyon adjacent to the Padua Hills neighborhood for Ms. Faulstich, who apparently walked away from her home in Padua Hills around 1 a.m. on June 29.

The initial search began Wednesday night, with Claremont police officers, an Ontario PD helicopter and the city’s CERT volunteers walking the canyon and streets near Via Padova. Lt. Aaron Fate of the Claremont Police Department said search efforts were called off at about 1 p.m. Thursday.

Ms. Faulstich, 50, is described as five foot three inches tall, weighing 120 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. Anyone with information regarding her possible whereabouts is urged to contact the Claremont Police Department immediately at (909) 399-5411.
