Burglars hit Claremont business in early AM Friday

A group of burglars broke into a local business early Friday morning, stealing a credit card and two checks. The burglars pried open the door lock on the front double doors to Cosmo Cleaners on the 1000 block of west Foothill Boulevard at approximately 4:30 a.m., according to a release from the Claremont Police Department.

Once inside, the burglars stole a cash drawer containing a Visa Credit/Debit card, a check for $42.00 and a check for $13.50.

Police were tipped off by a burglary alarm, but the suspects had fled before they arrived. The business did not have surveillance cameras, police said.

There is no suspect information at this time. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Claremont Police Department at (909) 399-5411.
