Claremont police search for burglary suspect

Police are looking for a man who burglarized a Claremont home Monday morning and escaped in a getaway vehicle.

Surveillance footage from the scene captured the man approaching the home on the 2600 block of Bonnie Brae at around 7:50 a.m., according to a release from the Claremont Police Department. A silver newer-model Toyota Camry dropped off the man in front of the home.

The man then entered the property and burglarized the home, police said. He then left in the waiting Camry and escaped the scene. The car had tinted windows but did not have license plates.

Claremont police believe the suspect appeared to be an African-American male in his 20s, about six feet tall with a thin build and short black hair. He was wearing an olive-green hooded sweatshirt with a design on the front, black slim pants with black shorts underneath and white high-top tennis shoes.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Claremont Police Department at (909) 399-5411.
