Claremont man arrested for inappropriate touching of child

A Claremont man was arrested on suspicion of child molestation after reportedly  touching a child inappropriately in a mall bathroom.

Richard Camarena, 45, was arrested on Saturday, July 23 at a Claremont residence, according to a release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Mr. Camarena is accused of touching the child while in a restroom at the Puente Hills Mall on Friday, July 8. He was identified and arrested through investigative resources and tips from the public, the sheriff’s department said.

Mr. Camarena was arrested and booked at San Dimas Station on $100,000 bail.
