When the walls keep tumblin’ down…for parking

Demolition has begun on a small, single-story commercial building at the Old School House development and is anticipated to be completed by the end of this week, according to the city manager’s office.

The classroom and art studio spaces  have been vacant for more than a decade and its demolition will make way for future construction of a parking lot that is a planned component of the Old School House Specific Plan, which was approved by the city in 2007. City staff notes that the removal of the structure will allow the north side of the original Old School House to be visible, as it has been partially obscured from view because of the building.
