Three businesses on Auto Center Drive burglarized

Three businesses along the 400 block of Auto Center Drive were burglarized within 24 hours.

Two of the businesses, Mr. You’s Chinese Food and Round Table Pizza, were broken into around 4 a.m. Thursday morning, the Claremont Police Department said in a release. The burglars reportedly used a rock to smash a glass door and small window then stole an unknown amount of cash before fleeing.

A passerby discovered the break-ins at 8 a.m., police said.

Surveillance cameras from both businesses recorded the burglars, who wearing masks and gloves. One of the businesses did not have an alarm system and the other did not have their system turned on, police said.

One suspect is described as a Hispanic male, about 20 years old, wearing a black-and-white plaid shirt and shorts, a black backpack and a black-and-white hat. The second suspect was described as a Hispanic male, about 20 years old, wearing a grey sweatshirt over a white shirt, black shorts, a baseball cap and a black backpack.

The first suspect was riding a silver mountain bike and the second suspect was seen riding a black BMX bike with yellow forks, police said.

Wireless Plus, another nearby business, was burglarized the following morning around 2:40 a.m. According to police, the burglars used a hammer to shatter a large front window to gain entry then stole blue tooth speakers, headphones and earbuds from the store before fleeing.
