New singers wanted for the Claremont Chorale

The Claremont Chorale, the premier community chorus in the greater Claremont area, welcomes new singers (especially men) to join the group in its 49th season.

Founded in 1968, the Chorale is an independent community chorus of experienced singers that presents a variety of high-quality choral music to enrich the musical experience of residents of Claremont and the wider community. Concerts planned for the 2016-2017 season include “Behold New Joy” on Saturday, December 10 and Sunday, December 11; “Brush Up Your Shakespeare!” on Saturday, March 11, and “Opera Choruses” on Saturday, May 20.

Singers interested in enjoying the benefits of singing together in a choral group are encouraged to schedule an audition by contacting Chorale Director Gregory Norton at claremontchorale.org/audition or attending a rehearsal on Monday, September 12, 19 or 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Decker Hall at Pilgrim Place to “get a feel” for the group before scheduling an audition.

Members of the Chorale come from all walks of life and rehearse at 7:30 p.m. every Monday from September through May.
