Colorful sky after September storm

Claremont was blessed with some much needed rain, especially closer to the mountains, as up to a half an inch of precipitation fell from a fast moving storm Wednesday afternoon. It wasn’t long before the storm cleared out, leaving blue skies and rainbows shinning throughout the area. Claremont resident Catherine McIntosh had her camera ready when taking this photo from El Roble’s sports field near Harrison Avenue. A cool down in finally arriving this weekend as high temperatures will drop to 80 by Sunday. Don’t get too comfortable however, more heat is on the way next week.
