Burglars steal alcohol from Super King, threaten employee with a knife
Police are looking for two suspects who reportedly smashed a glass door at Super King Market, stole alcohol and threatened an employee with a knife.
The brazen burglary happened just before 4 a.m., when two men in ski masks used a glass punch to shatter a front sliding glass door to the market, the Claremont Police Department said in a release. The burglars went behind the front counter and filled two large trash bags full of alcohol.
An employee confronted the suspects and was able to take back one of the bags, police said. In the ensuing struggle, one of the burglars alegedly brandished a knife at the employee while trying to regain the bag.
The burglars fled the scene in a newer model white Toyota Corolla with tinted windows. One suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s, 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 210 pounds wearing a black ski mask, gloves, a black sweater and blue jeans. The other suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his 20s, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 160 pounds, wearing a black ski mask, gloves, a white sweater, blue jeans and armed with a knife, police said.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Claremont Police Department at (909) 399-5411.
