Veterans Day observance in Claremont

Robert Ainsworth, commander of American Legion Post78, left U.S. Army Captain Douglas Groce applaud the comments of Claremont Mayor Sam Pedroza during the annual Veterans Day observance on Friday in Memorial Park. Mr. Groce gave the keynote address at the event which was attended by over a hundred people. Veterans Day, which is celebrated in many countries, started out as Armistice Day to commemorate the end of World War I but was changed in the 1950s to honor all veterans.
