Winter weather on the way

For Claremont, winter weather means rain most of the day Saturday, with sprinkles on Sunday. Windy conditions will make it feel even cooler outside, with lows actually getting down into the 30s on the north side of town. Rain amounts will reach 1/2 an inch total over the weekend. For the Mt. Baldy area mountains, snow will fall above 7000 feet during the day, dropping to 5000 feet in the evening hours. Unfortunately, this system will not help a lot for their ski season. Big Bear is already making snow, especially with cold temperatures over the next week. The storm will drop 6-8 inches. COURIER photo/Peter Weinberger
