Winter snow makes Baldy skiing an attractive, and nearby, option

The week’s rainfall has yielded a substantial amount of snow in nearby mopuntain areas, and more is to be expected in the coming days.

Today, the snow pack on Mt. Baldy is 6” at the base and a foot at the summit, according to OnTheSnow.com. Three of four lifts at Baldy, whose temperature is 33 degrees at the base and 27 degrees at the peak, are open.

The site predicts a light snowfall this Sunday and significant snowfall the following weekend. Season passes are available from Mt.
