Mixed media, hip-hop among classes offered by city

Mixed Media Art

Instruction will include composition, design, patternmaking and types of materials that can be used indoors and outdoors. Classes will be held at the Hughes Center on Mondays from March 6 to March 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Ages 12 to adult may participate and the cost is $60.

Fun with Phonics

Fun with Phonics is a class designed for toddler and preschool age children who are just learning the basics of letters, sounds and early reading. By utilizing visual aids, crafts and games, every effort is made to create a class that makes beginning reading appealing and motivating. Classes will be held at the Hughes Center on Tuesdays from March 7 to April 16 from 5 to 5:30 p.m. Ages 3 to 5 may participate and the cost is $50.

Pop Tots with Petite Feet

This is a fun way for your tots to learn basic hip hop and break dance moves with age-appropriate music. Classes will be held at the Hughes Center on Mondays from March 6 to April 6 from 4 to 4:45 p.m. Ages 3-5 may participate and the cost is $65.

Hip Hop with Petite Feet

Introduce your child to hip hop dance styles, explore choreography and learn rhythm movement skills to all of the latest, age-appropriate music.

Classes will be held at the Hughes Center on Mondays from March 6 to April 6 from 4:45 to 5:15 p.m. Ages 6-10 may participate and the cost is $65.
