Armed robbery at Foothill Boulevard gas station in Claremont

Two males entered the AM/PM located at 701 E. Foothill Blvd. on Sunday, March 12 at about 2 a.m. armed with semi-automatic handguns. After demanding that the cashier open the cash registers, the men fled northeast on foot with cash and several items from the business.

No suspect vehicle was seen. Both suspects wore hooded sweatshirts with the hoods pulled over their heads, bandannas over their faces and were wearing gloves.

The first suspect is described as a dark-skinned male of unknown race, approximately 5 foot, six inches to 5 foot, eight inches tall with an average build wearing a light-colored billed baseball cap (the rest of the hat was covered by the hood of the jacket), a black-hooded jacket with red trim, khaki pants, black shoes and gloves, with a black bandana across his nose and mouth. He was armed with a black semi-auto handgun.

The second suspect is described as a light-skinned male of unknown race, approximately 5 foot, six inches to 5 foot, eight inches tall with a stocky build, wearing a white zip-up hooded sweatshirt with “Old Navy” on the front in navy blue or black writing, blue jeans, white shoes, wearing a dark-colored bandana that covered his nose and mouth. He was wearing tan or orange gloves and was armed with a black semi-auto handgun.
