Kick off summer at the Mi Casa Es Su Casa charity tasting event

Hotel Casa 425 and Mercedes-Benz of Ontario will sponsor the 10th annual Mi Casa Es Su Casa wine, spirits and craft beer tasting charity event at Hotel Casa 425 on Sunday, June 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. to benefit the Claremont Educational Foundation (CEF) and Claremont Community Foundation (CCF).

The event will feature drinks form a variety of local vineyards, breweries and distilleries, including Plume Ridge, Young’s Market Company and Wanderlust, which will have representatives at the event, as well as Claremont Craft Ales and Last Name Brewing.

The event will also feature live Afro-Cuban Latin jazz by Mambo Italiano and a raffle for wines and gifts from local merchants, a case of fine vintages and a romantic getaway for two.

CEF, one of the beneficiaries of the event, is a non-profit supporting quality public education in the Claremont Unified School District.

The other beneficiary, CCF, is a “private nonprofit philanthropic vehicle for donors wishing to support a wide range of community arts, human services, education, and cultural heritage programs,” according to its website. It has distributed more than $750,000 to more than 150 local programs over 28 years.

Tickets, which cost $75 each, can be purchased online at www.supportcef.com or www.claremontcommunityfoundation.org/events or in person at CCF at 205 Yale Avenue, Claremont, CA 91711 with a check payable to CCF.
