CHS class of 2017 says goodbye
Even a start time of 5 p.m. could not stop Mother Nature from bringing on the heat to the Claremont High School 2017 graduation ceremonies on Thursday. With temperatures hovering around 95 degrees all afternoon, the names of 590 graduates from CHS, 14 from San Antonio High School and 41 from Claremont Adult School, were carefully read as they received their well-earned diplomas. At the end of the event, hundreds of family members gathered on the football field for pictures and hugs. You could easily tell the class of 2017 was ready to move on with their next phase of life. More photos and video Friday. COURIER photo/Peter Weinberger
