Police release surveillance footage of suspected Village burglar

Police released surveillance footage depicting a suspect wanted in three Village burglaries earlier in the month.

The footage, captured on Saturday, June 3 around 11:19 p.m, shows the suspected burglar walking across a parking lot on the corner of Harvard Avenue and First Street toward Petiscos, located on 211 west First Street.

Another still image shows the thief crouched down looking underneath a desk at another location he burglarized.

At Petiscos, the thief reportedly pried off a few boards from the fence that encloses the courtyard of the restaurant and entered the business, where he stole cash from the cash register, police said.

The other two businesses police suspect the man of burglarizing are Real Estate Hound on the 219 N. Indian Hill Boulevard and Nicholas Gih, DDS on 231 N. Indian Hill Boulevard.

All burglaries occurred between 7 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on June 3, police said.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man with gray or white hair, around five feet, eight inches tall to five feet, 10 inches tall and 220-230 pounds wearing a white long sleeve shirt, gray pants, a black baseball cap with white lettering and white Puma tennis shoes.
