Immigration, citizenship assistance workshop
The Claremont United Methodist Church will host a free immigration and citizenship assistance workshop on Saturday, August 5 from 10 a.m. to noon.
The workshop will feature consultation with a licensed attorney on immigration matters, referrals to qualified immigration legal service providers, an application review by an immigration attorney and information on free resources to unaccompanied refugee children and their families who are fleeing violence in Central America.
Those attending the event for these services are asked to bring the following information to complete an application for naturalization—a legal permanent resident card (aka a “green card”), an address and job history for the last five years, marriage and divorce certificates for all previous marriages (if applicable), certificates of disposition for all arrests (if applicable), information on all trips taken outside of the United States in the last five years and a money order of $725 payable to the US Department of Homeland Security.
Advance registration is required. Please register at calpacnic-claremont-august.eventbrite.com or call (424) 888-0642 or email calpac.nic1@gmail.com.
