On September 9  at about 2:35 a.m., the burglary alarm activated for Euro Café (546 East Base Line Rd.). Officers arrived and found the glass door shattered on the east side of the business. The glass door for Claremont Heights Postal Center, which is one business south of Euro Café, was also shattered. Property loss is unknown at this time.

A witness saw five suspects fleeing the area in a newer gray four-door sedan. The suspects were all wearing hooded sweatshirts with masks covering their faces and carrying baseball bats or clubs. A newer white Mercedes Benz may also have been involved. Both vehicles left at a high rate of speed northbound on Mills Avenue and eastbound on Base Line Road.

If you own a business in the Vons shopping center and have, Police ask business owners in the Vons shopping center to review video surveillance cameras between 2 a.m. and 2:45 a.m. on September 9.
