Claremont city staff will provide a review of the proposed design of the new police department facility, as well as an overview of possible funding mechanisms, on Saturday, September 23 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the current station located at 570 W. Bonita Ave., Claremont.

Residents are encouraged to attend to provide feedback on how it is funded, attend the community presentation and tour at the current station.

At the direction of the city council, city staff has been working with an architectural firm to create the design of a future police facility. Over the last nine months, staff has worked with architects to design a building that will allow a future station to be built at the current police department location.

After review, the city council directed  staff to proceed with public outreach to  determine the appropriate funding mechanism, with the goal of placing a measure on the June 5, 2018 ballot.
