Female robbed while walking through the Claremont Colleges

A female was walking near Mills Avenue and Sixth Street in the Claremont Colleges Monday evening when three unknown robbers grabbed her cellphone from her hands before leaving on skateboards.

Claremont police received the call just before 6 p.m., about 30 minutes after the crime. The suspects, who fled east on Sixth Street, were described as a black adult male with dark skin, approximately five feet, eight inches tall, weighing 150 pounds and wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and tight dark-colored pants. The other two suspects were described only as black adult males with dark skin wearing dark-colored clothing. All three suspects were riding skateboards.

Claremont Police Department officers conducted an extensive search in the area for the suspects, but they were not located. Anyone with information regarding the investigation is urged to contact Claremont police at (909) 399-5411.
