Cool temps, strong winds, little rain

This weak weather system may have brought strong winds and cooler temperatures, but the rain—and there wasn’t a lot—simply side-stepped much of Claremont, mostly to our south. There was some a rain and light snow in the mountains, but nothing to really dent the need for precipitation. Of course the weather also provided a colorful sunset, shot from the Mills Avenue overpass over the 210 freeway. The weather will remain more winter-like, with highs around 60 and lows in the 40s. Chance of rain still remains low, even over the next two weeks. COURIER photo/Peter Weinberger
