Mi Casa Es Su Casa event to benefit local foundations

The annual Mi Casa Es Su Casa wine, spirits and craft beer tasting charity event is coming to Hotel Casa 425 on Sunday, May 20 from 5 to 8 p.m.

This annually sold-out event is attended by many of Claremont’s community and educational leaders. Guests may enjoy an evening of fine wine, select spirits and craft beer tastings with savory culinary fare provided by local Claremont restaurants and other area favorites including La Parolaccia Osteria, The Loving Hut, Le Pain Quotidien, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Hotel Casa 425 and Spaggi’s, while listening to soft jazz provided by Claremont High School’s acclaimed Jazz Combo.

The addition of spirits and craft beer tastings to this year’s event expected to added a little twist to the impressive list of wines and vintners.

Since this event sells out every year, reservations are a must. Tickets, which are $75 each, may be purchased online at www.claremonteducationalfoundation.org or by contacting the Claremont Community Foundation at 398-1060.

Proceeds go to support the work of both the Claremont Community Foundation (CCF) and the Claremont Educational Foundation (CEF).

“The Mi Casa Es Su Casa event gives us a great opportunity to raise the profile of CEF in the community.  Events like this allow us to reach out to additional generous donors to support CEF’s mission of maintaining a quality educational experience in Claremont, ” said CEF Board President, Liz Wiegand.

Suzanne Hall, Mi Casa Committee member and a past chair of the Claremont Community Foundation, added that “we so much appreciate the Tolkin Group and Casa 425, a Four Sisters hotel, for opening their doors once again for this fantastic event.”

For more information about the event, contact the CEF at www.claremonteducationalfoundation.org or call the CCF at 398-1060.
